Sometimes no matter how hard we try we still fall short, if you know that you did your best then that's all that matters, if algebra is difficult for you then seek extra help so that next marking period you might do better. It's not the end of the world, do something if you can to take yor mind off of it.

First off -- If you never got an F in your whole life and you are borderline crying...I'm guessing you are VERY smart.

That means... 1 F won't change anything. People who look at college applications know that everyone has a bad day.

Also, it will be made up when you write a paper (for your college application). Also, when the colleges ask to speak to you in person and if you do a good job they will see that you are smart.

Plus, you are only 15. Maybe, if you were 17 and got an F you chances of getting in a good college may be harder. But you are just getting used to your surroundings.

Tell your parents that they don't need to yell at you. You are already upset with yourself and you know what you did wrong. Also, tell them that you are trying harder.

To make college opportunities greater....

Make a website concerning endangered species
Do volunteering jobs.
Get a tutor

Good Luck!

I know that getting an F sucks, but all you can do is try to improve it. It's possible you should look into getting some extra help with your math. Maybe the school and hook you up with a tutor, or talk to your teacher about what you are struggling with. But no matter what, don't give up!! Look at it this way, you can only go up from here. And always remember, it's okay to fail. No one is perfect, and anyone who thinks they are is only fooling themselves. As long as you try your hardest, that is all you can really do. Just think about WHY you failed. As long as you try to make improvements, that is all anyone can really ask of you. Believe me, I know it sucks getting an F, because my parents always made me feel like crap for it. But remember, it's your education. All you can do is learn to the best of your ability. Let your parents know you are trying your best, and you will do what you can to improve your grade. Everything will be fine in the end. Good luck!! ;)

Why did you get an "F"? Was it because you didn't really understand it? You can ask your parents if you can get a tutor to help you. It's not the end of the world. Many people have failed a subject or two, but they keep trying. That's all that anyone can ask of you. If you were at fault for not doing your homework or studying, then you need to just think of this as a lesson learned. I failed a history class, but I made up for it and was able to graduate on time, so just do your best and if it becomes too difficult for you, it's ok to ask for help. Just ask for it early on and not wait.

Sweetie, I know exactly how you feel. I didn't get my first F until my Sophomore year and I was just as devastated..but look..you just need some extra help in that class..ask your teacher for extra tutoring....work as hard as possible...turn in all work, even if you know it's wrong, your effort might be enough to help you pass.

Second of all..it happens to everyone..and I'm sure there is still plenty of time in the semester for you to get your grade up, even if it's to just passing. Don't freak out yet..because it's not really that big of a deal.

Remember..we all have weaknesses..it's just how we choose to handle them that really matters, work hard..and you'll feel better because you've tried your best and won't have to think about what you could've done.

Eat some ice cream..watch a movie and get your mind off of it..you'll bring it up, because you obviously have the drive to. Good Luck.

Don't be upset, seriously. It sucks now but I can tell you from experience, I am a junior in college and your grades really don't matter that much in the long run. Your GPA may still drop but you seem like a good student and that one F you got back when you were 15 won't even exist in your mind when you are my age, trust me!

Cheer up, go do something to make yourself happy cause this isn't anything to freak out over girrrrl!! :P

You should stop complaining & crying. This is not the end of the world. You'll be better next time if you try harder. I was very bad in Math but I went to law school & got a degree.

It's not the end of the world. Be proud you got that F, and realize that it's showing you how much more you can learn. It can be fascinating to learn and acquire these new skills. Be happy, learn, grow, and kick some butt!

You can do it, believe you can, and do it. Make that F into a C, and push farther to a B, and then A. You alone must achieve this. You must desire it and believe in yourself. I know you can do it.

Good luck!

If you never failed, how would you be able to apprciate success? Failing is a regular part of life. Even larger a part after you leave the protection of mom and dad. Get used to it. The import thing is picking yourself back up and trying again. Remember, you don't lose if you don't give up.
