What is global warming? Global warming is classified as the rise in temperature of the
air close the earths surface. This increase is due to the rise in greenhouse gas levels, called the
greenhouse effect. Greenhouse Gasses are released due to high carbon dioxide emissions. The carbon dioxide is increased by fossil fuels being burned among other ways. This heating of the Earth is an issue because of the way it affects the weather and therefore the environment also
damaging the Ozone layer.
How is global warming destructive? Global warming causes intense environmental
issues. These issues include, an increase in hurricane intensity, and heating of the polar ice caps. The ice melting also leads to erosion which can be seen in Alaska. Because of the erosion there was at least one whole village had to relocate. According to “Everything’s Cool”, It must be 26 degrees in order to create faux snow, thus the rise in temperature is not good for faux snow
companies who make this faux snow for ski resorts. Basically global warming throws all of the weather out of whack, there a droughts in the Midwest, large quantities of snow in anywhere from Massachusetts to California and forest fires. Possibly the reason that California is currently on fire.
(this was from an essay i wrote about a week ago for science class about a documentary called Everythings Cool)

The global mean temperature is likely to increase by between one degree and 3.5 degree by the year 2100.Other likely effects are rising sea level, changes in rainfall and drought patterns and an increase in what are known as 'extreme weather events'.
Regional temperature changes may differ substantially from the global mean. There is likely to be a marked impact on the types of trees that grow in forests.Deserts are expected to become hotter.Increased heat stress and infectious diseases will affect human health.

The earth was once covered in ice. A lot of the "global warming" ideas are just hype. The ice caps have been melting since the beginning of man kind. Humans have done things to hurt the environment and we should do our best to stop the destruction but the truth is... volcano explosions put more toxic gases into the environment than any one generation of Americans can ever do. We are only human, the earth will do what it wants to do and there isn't anything we can do to stop it.

"global warming effects has resulted in a increase of the average surface temperature, a decrease in snow cover and ice extent and a rise of the sea level. Moreover, global warming effects affects precipitation, cloud cover and extreme temperatures. "

A return to the way the earth was thousands of years ago, in an on going cycle of natural renewal. Oh, and extending shopping seasons as we saw last year.

-Rising sea levels, glacier retreat, and altered patterns of agriculture are cited as direct consequences, but predictions for secondary and regional effects include extreme weather events, an expansion of tropical diseases, and drastic economic impact.
Concerns have led to political activism advocating proposals to mitigate, eliminate, or adapt to it.

-species dying (plants, animals, etc.)
-ice caps melting (resulting in more "over the top" weather such as 130 degree summers in new york and -30 degree celsius temperatures in winter within new york), tornadoes were they typically would not show up, etc.
-less ozone =greater UV=more chances for skin cancer
