There is unfortunately very little to those who are educated in such matters. If this is for a class you're in, you might as well say something like computer simulations, even though they're notoriously inaccurate.
One of the big problems associated with global warming is that even though our temperature is rising, we know that it's supposed to be doing so. Solar activity on our Sun has been increasing for the last 150 or so years, so it's really hard to pin down exactly how much of the heating is the cause of global warming and how much is just arbitrary solar effects.

The average global temperature is raising since the late 1970s.This trend of increasing temperature is a proof of global warming.
The 10 warmest years in the last 130 years have all occured in the 1980s and 1990s.And within these ten,the three warmest years were in the 1990s.
Particularly, the high average temperature noticed in 1995 occured without the influence of any natural phenomena that at times contribute to warm temperatures.El Nino, the warm-water pool that appears in the Pacific ocean in a cycle of four years, was absent in that year, and the solar energy cycle was also at its lowest point. This supports the theory that what is altering the earth's climate is the accumulation in the atmosphere of greenhouse gases generated by human activities. It is estimated that a city of one million people generates 25000 tons of CO2(which is one of the important greenhouse gases) everyday. This will definitely contribute to global warming.

I would like to take a sec and address the first the answers to your question..Umm...
Polar bears are in greater numbers now than they where 20 years ago, and flesh eating bacteria in Europe..Read the Bible, written a couple thousand years ago, there's a whole book that speaks about leprosy, there is a leper colony in Alabama for those that carry the flesh eating bacteria.
CO2 levels rising..Well, there are 320ppm (parts per million) of CO2 in the air..The biggest polluter is the oceans, water vapor not CO2. Also, solid CO2 (otherwise known as dry ice) does not trap heat, it in fact does the exact opposite.
And, Katrina was no were near as bad as Hugo that happened in the early 90s, and I seriously doubt that the SE drought is the worst in US history...Historically (I would know, I live here) Georgia has a drought every two years. It's over growth and underdevelopment that has caused this drought to be so much worse than any others.

CO2 in the atmosphere is going up. This can be directly measured. More CO2 absorbs more sunlight, so the Earth heats up. It's simple unavoidable physics.
