I need something that is like forgetting or remembering or something to do with her eyes changing to light blue each time she remembers. I know it sounds dumb but leave me alone! Please nothing that is Blue Eyes. Be creative!

Doppler shift?
As visible light from a cosmic event travels towards the viewer, it's blue. As light travels away from the source of a cosmic event, the percieved color is usually red.
To get an audiological understanding of the doppler shift, listen to a train passing and note the way the horn seems to change tones as it gets closer and then farther away.
Color Shift also comes to mind, from friends that had eyes that would seemingly change color depending on their moods or the color of the shirt they were wearing.
