A lot of hardwood trees--oaks, maples--pretty trees like dogwoods and flowering crab trees. Almost any kind of flowers, fruits, or vegetables. (Well, except for the obvious desert plants or tropical fruits).
Lots of wild mountain laurel---and POISON IVY all over the place. Next to grass, poison ivy is probably the most common plant in southern New England.
May I ask where you are from? Just generally, not your address.

I have lived in New England, the Midwest, Arizona and New Mexico, Florida... pretty much all over, but still think Connecticut is the nicest place I have ever lived.
