I need help doing percentage problems. Please help me.?

Okay, I have no idea how to do my homework, and it's embarrassing because this is just review. Anyway, here are the problems that I am struggling with: _____% of 40=10
And the other one is 67% of _____=80.
I don't want the answers please, I'd really like to know how to do them so that I can do the rest of my homework before tomorrow. Thank you.

so the first one:

x * 40 = 10

=> x = 10/40 = 0.25 so x = 25%.

the second one:

0.67 * x = 80

=> x = 80/0.67 = 120.

Okay. I was just taught this at school. Percent means that it will be a fraction or decimal. Of means that you will multiply. Equals is obviously equals. You can set up the problem like this: _____X 40 =10 so you divide both sides by forty and you get 10 over 40, which reduces to 1 over 4, which is the same as 25%. Use the same steps with number 2. Divide both sides by 67. You get blank equals 67 over 80. Convert 67 over 80 into a decimal by dividing 67 by 80. Use a calculator. You get .8375, which if you round up, is 84%, and if you don't round, is 83.75% I hope this helps!
