I have to care for my mother(79) here in St. Louis. Who can I call for help. She has emphysema and is O2 dependent, I am not wealthy and need to help her full time. Is there anyone/ agency I can contact for help. Your thoughts and advice are appreciated.

I'm not sure of the care she is needing but there are plenty of hospice agencies in the area. You can start by calling them or you can (depending on the severity of her health) call a Home Health Agency. I have numbers here at work, I will list them (My job deals with hospice and home health but I'm a little south of the St. Louis area)--

Here are the Hospice in the area
Am Heart hospice
St. Louis 314-894-8189
Troy 1-800-950-4844

Trinity Hospice
Sunset Hills 314-821-8826 or 888-282-2273

Hospice of Missouri
St. Louis 314-892-3000

Mercy Hospice, INC
St. Louis 314-416-4994

VITAS Innovative Hospice Care
1-800-93VITAS

Here is the only Home Health Agency I could find here at work
Pyramid
St. Louis 800-699-1746

You can also call a local hospital and ask for Social Services and they should have a current list of all the area agencies.
Good luck and I hope you find the care your mother needs!!~~~~~~~
