What's the best advice for achieving natural looking make up? I've tryed alot of things but they never seem to work, i want something that brings out my brown eyes but flatters the rest of my face. Are there any products you'd recommend to someone with a light olive skin tone? Thanks!

First you need to determine your skin tone - either warm or cool. Here's how to check:

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Then choose a tinted moisturizer to even out your complexion.

Apply a little gel blush.

To bring out your eyes, apply dark navy blue eyeliner tight against your upper lash line.

Deep eggplant is another option.

Well groomed, neat eyebrows are key to looking polished too. Links about brow grooming: http://www.eyebrowz.com/faceshape.htm

If your brows need to be filled in or tamed, clear or tinted brow gel is an easy option.

a color that really makes brown eyes pop is green. (i should know, i have brown eyes and that's what i use.) if you don't want to use eyeshadow yet you still want to make your eyes look really nice, just simply use mascara. use some on your top lashes and use a lash curler to draw attention to them. for your skin, get a tinted moisturizer that is as close to your natural color as possible. that way you just even out the skin tone. i tend to use a simple lip-balm to accent my lips. you can get some that are already tinted or just use a clear balm. if you want to dress it up but don't want to use any more makeup than necessary, then get a clear gloss and use a couple of different shades of the same color for eyeshadow.
as for a makeup brand, i say use anything that is good quality and easy for you to use.

I would simply use mascara OR eyeliner, not both. That's not going to look natural. Use plum eyeliner (i like Revlon Colorstay) or brownish black mascara, or brown/black. whatever the shade name is :) (I like Maybelline Full n' Soft)

And honestly (and when i say honestly, i talk from experience) the best natural look is with little to no makeup. In this case, your using eye makeup. But just leave the rest of your face. Using a light oil-free facial moisturizer with SPF daily is better than any makeup. Trust me.
Dare to go bare :)

hope this helps

Use concealer for blotches, then put on skin colored foundation and dust with some nude powder. Then put on a bronze colored eye-shadow, brown eye-liner, and clear lip gloss. That's what I do.
p.s. I sometimes put foundation on before the gloss to give my lips a VERY nude color and I love the effect it has. Try it ;) (looks kinda like my avatar lol) Hope this helped!

Wear no makeup unless you have too for zits or whatnot. Your eyes will naturally pop.
