Ok, don't let the other shop touch it, or else the warranty on the first shop is GONE, tell the second shop to give you a written diagnosis, and if you can most shops give free diagnosis, get a third. Go to the first and give them the opportunity to make good, if you don't you cannot get your money back, before they do any work, make sure your second and third shop give you a complete description of what is under there, the other shop may try to sabotage the left and whatever they try to do you have proof of whats going on. if they refuse, then you send them a certified letter stating that because they refused to make good on their warranty or on the effectiveness of their work, you will have to have it fixed, and you will take them to civil court (IF YOU DO WHAT I SAY, YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK, PLUS THE $200.OO MORE THAT IT'S GOING TO TAKE TO MAKE IT GOOD).
GOOD LUCK
peace out

Did the first shop give a warranty, expressed or implied?
If not then there is not much you can do, unless the state where you live has a pro consumer stance (like Calif. did at one time).
Minimize your looses. Go to a parts house (independent) and ask about the parts needed, and then ask about a good front end shop.
Look for some one who has been in business for a while that uses their name for the shop (Jones Tire and Brake for example).
While you could go to court, ask yourself just how much it will cost you in work lost, court costs and such. It most likely will cost you more to get your money back then you lost.

the only thing i can think of that might help you get a refund is tell them that you took it to someone else and they said nothing had been fixed. the point is...if there were new parts you'd be able to tell and you shouldn't have to be a mechanic to tell. if they seem unmovable...take it to small claims court. have a couple of shops make up some typed and signed statements saying what they have found, make sure you have your receipt that states what you paid and exactly what you paid for, and call judge judy.

I would call the first shop and tell the owner what the other shop told you. And then ask him what he is going to do about it?
If he won't cooperate you could take them to small claims court but you would have to get the second shop owner involved and he might be hesitant to do that.

It seems like they didn't do the whole job right the first time. They probably charged you to do both sides. Shouldn't have too much of a problem with this, check out the better business bureau and they may have a solution for you

ask the shop manager at the shop that told you that the first shop did not do a proper job if he would sign an affadavit to that effect, if he will, then draw one up and have him sign it then file a claim in small claims court, maybe you should contact the "Peo[ples Court"

Threaten them that you will take them to small claims court, which in reality will probably cost you more, but tell them that you have two different quotes from different mechanics that will testify for you.
Just be persistent and ask them to show you what they have done, and if your not happy with the outcome, ask for the store owner and take it from there.

you could take them to small claims court. Then again you can cut your losses and go to another repair shop. What a bunch of monkeys
