I'm trying to stuff my turkey to get it ready in advance for Thanksgiving, but it keeps running about the kitchen and making a lot of noise. What am I doing wrong?

Use a smaller spoon - turkey's don't have a big hole to stuff things into, so it probably ran away when it saw you coming at it from behind with a serving spoon near it's bum. Use a baby food spoon, should be fine.

Cricket is this a joke?
Sweetheart your turkey needs to be DEAD before you stuff it.
And make sure that when you stuff it that the stuffing is the same temperature as the turkey.
Because if you make the stuffing then take the turkey out of the fridge and put the hot stuffing into a cold bird you can get food poisoning
And if you have a live turkey running around in your kitchen you really should get it out of there because turkeys are dirty animals.
Besides it'll get feathers all over your floor.

Obviously your poor little bird does not want to be stuffed. So you will have to resort to cooking your stuffing in a pan. This is the way the chef's do it. It is a lot easier and also safer.

Use unpopped popcorn, but get out of the kitchen because when the oven reaches 400 degrees, it's going to blow.

Haven't you heard of foreplay? Hint: gently stroke its feathers a bit before jamming a load of goods up its butt.
