For fractional GDP by industry see

Technically, if something were to happen, like a virus that affects plants and/or animals or a extreme weather changes that would damage the crops, in the United States, we would not be able to survive without global food trade. A lot of Americans like to think that we can survive anything. While we may be able to survive in a lot of circumstances, if something were to happen to our food sources from within our country, we would not be able to survive without global trade. Yes, I know that I am speaking on the extreme, but with viruses growing more resistant to modern medicine and more severe and the weather getting more unstable every year it is really not that far-fetched and not that impossible for this to happen.

Yes, although Americans would have to seriously cut back on coffee (in the U.S., coffee grows only in Hawaii) and forget what bananas are (bananas do not grow anywhere in the U.S.)

Additionally, many American farmers, for whom food exports are an important source of revenue, may go out of business.
