okay so I have a bestfriend katie.
I used to hang out with her everyday afterschool and like every day in the summer.
I thought she was the best and everything, well then came grade 10. I mean, i had lots of friends before, but now i have more, and i came to reilize that they are really funnier.
Everyday at lunch she is always fallows me, like she dosent even have alot of friends like I do. Shes SO QUITE and never talks in front ofmy friends. i cant even look at her at lunch, i dont even talk to her.
Its as if, i want her to change for me. she is like my sidekick.
whats wrong with me?
help?

Sounds like you're a popular girl and if she doesn't want to change don't make her!!! Be her friend any ways!!! No matter what the others think. If you are her TRUE FRIEND and she is your TRUE FRIEND then you should do any thing you can to take up for her and stay with her through thick and thin!!! Ask her to come do more things with you like sleepovers and goiong to the mall. You know fun stuff and maybe you can renew you guys' friendship!!! Hope I helped!!!

Stop being a snob to her! Yeah ignore her and make her feel worse! You are just cold. How about introducing her to everyone and ask her to talk up. She probably don't say nothing because you are ignoring her. How about being a real friend miss popular.

work it out, you're bff's. she's only clingy because she can probably sense that you're having doubts about your friendshp. and if you want her to talk more at your table why dont you help her feel comfertable and actually talk to her. bestfriends are forever, and just because you make new friends doesnt mean you cant still be friends with katie. maybe she's going through a rough patch or something, talk to her. hope everything works out.

maybe she is just shy around your other friends, while you are more of an outgoing person. but you just need to realize she is there for you, even though she is quiet. i'm sure both of you will make new friends in the future, but you are her best friend so she wants to follow you and hang out with you.

Maybe shes just shy around your other friends you should tell her to relax alittle but its not fair to stop treating her like a friend just because you have alot more now thats not right you should talk to her about it tho

when you were hanging out with her in the summer were your other friiends with you guys?!...nothing is wrong with you its just that... you found more fun friiends to be with... she not your side kick.. but she should find other friiends to hang out with and make becuase like you said she not like your other friiends..!! there more fun and she's quite ... she shouldnt just stay around you if she hardly talks around you guys!!... your not always going to just be with her... you have a life and its time to take advantage and experience it... its not your fault for anything!!she should understand and realize that she is not comfortable around your new friiends she shouild also make new ones and have fun like your having fun with yourS!!

Suggest that she loosens up and meets your new friends. YOU introduce your friends to HER. My friend did this for me and I was instant friends with them. Do NOT drop her though, it hurts so bad.
