Fred Thomson! The last thing we need is more communists and racists running the country. What makes anyone think the government should be given more control of anything else like healthcare for instance. The government is too corrupt to handle what they are already in control of. Only 18% of your tax dollars go where there supposed to! and the other 82% goes to communists like Hillary Clinton and racists and socialists like Barrack Obama. I want a president who isn't driven by popularity like the democrats are. One who isn't controlled by the media. One who isn't a communist. One who is a real conservative and who does the right thing even when it's not popular or easy.

McCain. He really loves this nation and is a true patriot. Don't give me that age excuse as he has more qualifications than any on the board. Ronald Reagan was >70< when he was elected and he brought down the berlin wall of which no other president could accomplish. He had his good and bad like the rest but he was a true patriot regardless of iran contra.
McCain comes from a family heritage of service to this nation. Everyone else is in it for >themself< without a thought what it really means to be a patriot. Clinton only cares about getting her fat a** in the White House again. She doesn't care about America, listen to what she says and how she says it. If she can only get her illegal campaign finances through corrupt chinese business men, then that alone should tell America SOMETHING...? I could go on a diatribe, but I'll leave it here.

Senator Hillary Clinton

2007-11-05 12:16:43 · answer #4 · answered by GO HILLARY 7 · 1 3

Look... I've looked at all the options.

The last two elections (the only two i've been old enough to begin to understand) I was a hardcore Republican.

This election, I was originally going to vote democrat no matter what, and I had my eyes on Obama, because I thought he would bring change.

If he wins the nomination, then I would strongly lean towards him.

However, I have found a better way. RON PAUL is our answer. He's a libertarian on the Republican party, but isn't much like any of the candidates that are in the media today.

He doesn't play these political smear games that the other candidates play 24/7. He simply has his ideas, and backs them up, and THAT'S WHAT WE NEED IN A GUY.

He even wants to pull out of Iraq ASAP, get rid of taxes, cut spending of the federal government, and bring us back to "Status Quo" of year 2000.... and the great thing is... he has a great plan to do it.

Check him out before you narrow our choices down to just three people.

He's picking up popularity, and after listening to him speak for 2 minutes, i swear you'll be interesting.

Check this video out from youtube... it gave me goosebumps it made so much sense.

I'll wait until after the primaries, when I know who's actually running.

Not that it matters, the Democrat will carry CA, anyway.

we need someone who will not waste time on social issues and focus on leading our nation back to a reputable standing in the world. Social issues should be left to the people.

Fred Thompson will be the next President

While this video gives only a thumbnail idea of how Fred Thompson stands on the issues, it does give some detail concerning many of the major issues of today. Thompson's conservative credentials are strong and one of the many advantages he offers to the GOP and the nation is that he has the clout and name recognition to defeat Hillary and/or Obama the likely Democrat nominees.

Thompson also offers something that is not in the current field of GOP candidates. His strong conservative stands coupled with the name recognition makes him a very viable candidate unlike other conservatives in the field like Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. Both are good men and strong conservatives but unfortunately facing the facts neither has the ability to win in November 2008.

In a comparison to the top tier candidates, Giuliani, McCain and Romney, Thompson is more conservative than each of the three. Romney's record despite his conservative talk of late is very left of center. McCain has irritated much of the GOP base and again he is centrist or left of center. Giuliani while conservative on foreign policy and issues involving the war has received much criticism for his liberal stances on social issues.

Thompson is not a far right conservative but his voting record and stand on issues defiantly puts him very right of center. With the seeming collapse of the GOP and the recent news of grassroots support of the party decreasing because of the immigration issue, Thompson has the capability of bringing the base and those who are somewhat disillusioned with the GOP back to the fold.

This factor also is another reason for the surge in popularity for his candidacy since it again emphasizes his ability to beat the Democrat nominee and prevent the likely nominee Hillary Clinton from gaining The White House. Additionally his strong conservative stands will force the GOP to once again base the party platform on conservative ideals that brought the party into prominence in the 80's under Reagan and into power in 1994.

Thompson will stop the GOP from running away from conservatism and rather embrace it especially if he continues to gain support as he has been. The latest Rasmussen poll shows that since his announcement he has taken the lead from Rudy and now is increasing the gap each week.

Fred Dalton Thompson, conservative values, ideals and leadership that brings to the 2008 Presidential race what the country is looking for.
