One and two family homes will bottom out in 2009. but multifamily will continue rising. Commercial and industrial will ease off slightly. In five years one and two family homes will have begun recovering from the low of 2009. Multifamily will still be on the upswing. Commercial and industrial will crash. Ten years out? Who knows.--That is as good as any other curbstone opinion.

Housing values will continue to plummet through the new year as unsteady crude oil prices continue to fluctuate. This fluctuation greatly affects the costs of building materials and the transportation of such. The overall economy will appear at times to have growth spurts but the GNP will remain precariously poised. The coming spring will bring a renewed hope that things will have hit rock bottom and setting sights on economic improvement will become the talk of the day. However, the underlying erosion will still be evident. The Bush administration and allies will create a facade in an attempt to make the party appear viable and seduce voters in their direction while the big chief gets ready to pack his bags and leave office. Housing will depend greatly upon which party succeeds in securing the White House. If the Democrats win the housing market will make a drastic turn around within the first term. That's my prediction. I think it's an interesting question and if enough people answer you can get a general idea as how the general public feels about the economy.

I think they will level out...not drop too much over the next year or so....and acreage will increase as it is getting harder to find...and many acreages are getting eaten up by subdivisions.
