My husband likes the name Gabrielle (does not like Gabriella) the best and I can't decide. I do like other names not on this list (Mia, Olivia and Vanessa) but he does not. So - this is our final list of names we agree on. Which is the best name?

Sabrina
Caitlin
Gabrielle
Sofia

If you guys are going for the most classic sounding, I'd say Sofia. But my favorite one from the list is Sabrina - it's the most unusual and absolutely gorgeous! Caitlin, Gabrielle, and Sofia are all also really pretty, but there are tons of them around. Sabrina is not only classic but unusual, and you could even compromise with your husband by using Sabrina Gabrielle - very pretty. It's a good thing he doesn't like Gabriella though - the double -a endings would clash a bit. But as it is, Sabrina Gabrielle has the perfect ring to it.

Good luck and congrats!

Gabrielle!! The other names are good too, but Gabrielle is definately to me the most beautiful and classic. Sofia is really really popular right now, Caitlin is a good choice, and Sabrina doesn't really remind me of anything classic to be honest with you. Gabrielle is hands down the best name on your list in my opinion. Good luck with your new baby! Whatever you pick will be perfect.

Sabrina, hands down.

Gabrielle is lovely, but popular. Add in all the Isabelles and Annabelles, Brielles and other -elles and it can start to feel like a very, very common name indeed.

This is even more true for Caitlin. It's a fabulous name, and you've preserved the classic spelling. But she'll be surrounded by Kaitlyns, Caeleighs, Kyleahs and Katees, which will probably be frustrating.

So while both Caitlin and Gabrielle are great, that leaves Sofia and Sabrina. They're also gorgeous, but Sabrina? The name appears in poetry by Milton. Audrey Hepburn played her in a classic black and white big screen romance opposite Humphrey Bogart. I suppose she's also a teenage witch these days, but I think that just shows how truly current the name remains.

Plus, the boyish nickname Bri/Bree is always there if she turns out to be a roller derby diva.

Good luck!

Gabrielle! I love that! I do love the other names you have chosen. I think Sabrina would be my next choice, but Caitlin and Sofia seem to be used quite a bit these days. I think Gabrielle is perfect! It's classic, but not common. Good luck!

I think that the name Gabrielle is pretty. Sofia is my next choice. Sabrina is common and Caitlin is a very common name. You want your child's name to stand out. I have 2 little girls so it was important to me not to have to common of a name.

#1 If you want beautiful and classic, go with Sophia (I'm not crazy about Sofia).

#2 Gabrielle

#3 Sabrina

#4 Caitlin is very overused and somewhat low class, imho.
