1. Ticonderoga is an Iroquoian name which means "it is at the junction of the two waterways."
2. Designates the battle of Quebec City and it could be a poem at the time called "the Plains of Abraham."

I think ticonderoga is Indian not Spanish. Don't know about the poem. I think #3 is the French and Indian war. Was it also called the Seven year war?

It is not Spanish. Look under Fort Ticonderoga.
Also look under General James Wolfe. There is extensive biographical information. I didn't see your poem; but I did learn that the Hero was brought back home on HMS Lowestoft. Lowestoft is my father's home town. So thanks.

i dont know what it means but its a fort in new york and it doesnt matter what wolfe recited because he later died in the battle...
