There is a train from Prague to Venice - it leaves Prague at 5:14 pm and arrives in Venice at 8:17 the next morning. You can get a cuchette and sleep overnight.

There's also the Salvador Dali train from Milano Centrale (7:50 pm) to Barcelona (9:01 am).

I've taken both of these and would gladly do so again.

The train schedules change in Italy after the 8th of December. The Italian train website doesn't currently have any information after that date, but the changes are usually mostly minor adjustments and price changes.

You might also want to consider the budget airlines - they can be cheaper and faster than the trains. SkyEurope flys from Prague to the Venice Treviso airport for as little as 41.94 euro (taxes and fees included; a current special fare on some flights). Right now, SkyEurope has some Christmas shopping flights for 0 (yes, zero!) euro plus taxes and fees.

Air Berlin has flights from the Milan Orio del Serio airport (near Bergamo) to Barcelona for as little as 82 euro. Or EasyJet (36.99 euro and up depending on date and availability) and Vueling (57 euro) fly to Barcelona from Mialn Malpensa airport.

You can find the budget airlines that fly between given city pairs at:

There will be a reduced schedule. Many countries will run the normal Sunday service, some even less. And many of the special international trains will not run.

The German travel planners, which is also a good one for international travel, can only find overnight trains between Milan and Barcelona, starting in the afternoon of the 25th and the 1st.

Enter the names, click on search and adjust what is needed on the next page.
Those details are in Red.
You best look for yourself.
Prague to Venice also exists, but again, not likely on the holidays. (You might need to spell Venice as Venise to get it working.)

Sure, they operate.
for Milan-Barcelona look up www.renfe.es. There is a hotel train between those two cities. Otherwise you will have to change trains on this line at least once.
For Prague-Venice look

I think there will be trains but with a limited service, i.e. a weekend service for the 25th and the 1st of Jan but a normal services for the other week days

Your best bet is to check the railway web sites below to check times etc.

Yes trains will run these days - most trains I should say. At least in Germany.
