Without having read a poem yet, I say to you don't quit. All that matters is you thinking your poems are good. If you feel that they need work, then work on them. They won't get better if you do not try.

Now having read
A battered women strikes back
A dime &
A gift from me to you

I have to say you have a good thing going. I love your variety when it comes to topics. I do see where you can improve. I suggest looking into various formats, meters & rhyme schemes. I suggest more details, like in the poem "A gift from me to you" don't tell us (your readers) that you hugged someone...make us feel it. Ya dig? Instead of saying hug, take us through the motion.....how you opened your arms, and took this person into....was the hug tight? is so how tight? you see where I am going? You have a great thing going on....don't give up....press on!!

Write on!!

Two things. First of all, just because you're a struggling poet doesn't mean you won't get better. I was dabbling in poetry a few years ago, and leaning more toward fiction writing, and so I put this poem I wrote up and my friend commented something to the effect of "I might need fiction lessons but you need poetry lessons" since it was an awful poem.
Anyway, now that same friend loves my poems and I write them a lot more and my creative short stories, I find, are also more deep now that I write more poetry.
So I would NEVER give up if I were you!
