We would love to live in peace. As long as you have dictators or other countries threaten innocent people then there will never be peace. There never will be peace either. Even when we weren't at war there was no peace. We were being repeatedly attacked by terrorist. At least that has stopped.

Because the moment you begin living in peace, there's always an asshole who walks up to you and tells you that your peace is complete bs and if you don't accept his version, he'll smack your brains out.

I believe there will be a day when Peace is achieved. Then what humans will be able to create will be endless.
Please don't say "more better".

Not "even soldiers," but /especially/ soldiers, since they are acquainted with the realities of war.
War, however, seems to be endemic to the human condition. A society that commits itself to peace is a society that will be promptly conquered.

I agree with your question and have asked that question so many times. I don't want to sound preachy, but I don't we will never have peace until everyone has God in their heart. When people do "people" things, we generally sin and do bad things. If people did good things, then we would not hurt each other and could see each others point of view and then we could actually have peace.

Every since Cain killed Abel, there has never been peace, nor will there ever be as long as a man is in charge. There is nothing you can do to obtain it.

This retired soldier feels just as you do, but please remember our soldiers are in a defensive stature in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Some aggressive tactics are used but only to prevent known attacks before they occur. Until the same persistent attacks from an enemy like Al Qaida have diminished we will still have to provide cover for the Iraqi citizens and continue to distract the enemy from here.

We could, if Democrats would just let us protect America from Muslim terrorism, instead of looking for ways to put America at risk.
Democrats don't want us to investigate and question (interrogate) terrorists.
They don't want us to help Iraqis to gain their democracy.
They fear the Christian right is going to start a "theocracy".
What is wrong with Democrats?

peace is easily obtained .. surrender.
then follow orders for the rest of your life.
your children also get to follow orders for all of their lives, and your grandchildren and their children.

Ask any Cuban-American. Fidel's Cuba lives in peace. Also repression and poverty. Plenty of uneducated folk, too.
Is that what you want?
