The first question always needs to be "what is your set up like?" Heat basking bulb and basking site he can get out of the water? UVB reptile light on for 12 hours a day? Water filter, water heater, frequent water changes, NO loose substrate such as gravel, etc that can cause impactions. Check out austins page for complete info. A vet check for parasites is also important.

it is getting colder outside, as well as inside our homes. turtles need their water in the 70's if it is any colder it could make them hibernate, and stop eating. you may also want to try changing up its food. turtles get fixated on one thing then won't eat anything else.

more then likely its the water temp. check it, if it is too cold, add some warm water, and buy a heater for the tank.

in case you do not have a basking spot for the turtle to get heat you mustn't feed it in this time of the year. ingesting something ought to reason the food to rot in the turtle and it may kill it. in case you have been feeding it whilst it replaced into chilly, then you certainly would desire to maintain on with a basking spot for the turtle for one week. do no longer feed the turtle during the week except you intend to maintain the basking spot on all wintry climate. If too chilly of temps isn't the problem then you certainly would desire to look for a vet ASAP.

might be sick. Try looking at the turtle to try to see if you notice anything different about him. Look at the eyes, mouth, tail, does he have normal fecal matter
