I think it can work as you are both Christian you just practice Christianity in different ways. Problems will only occur if you let them for example your future if you have children will they be Catholic or Coptic? that's something you both will need to talk about.

I don't think there will be a problem with meeting his parents there are a lot of relationships in England where one is Catholic and one is Protestant Christians and there are no problems between families i think they key is to talk alot.

My boy friend is Egyptian too but he is Muslim and I'm a British christian and there are no problems and our religions are very different compared to your religions as your both Christian. I have met some of his family and there has been no problem with me being a Christian.

Don't worry i think you will be fine. Good luck

Any thing is possible. Some things are easier and others are more of a challenge.

It will be easier if he is a Coptic Catholic. The Coptic Catholic Church is in full communion with the Pope.

It will be more of a challenge if he is an Orthodox Christian. The Orthodox Church does not recognize the primacy of the Pope.

With love in Christ.

Some say: Listen to what the present day Greeks say approximately John a million:a million! Or, Listen to the Coptic Church approximately John a million:a million! However, each Koine Greek and Sahidic Coptic are lifeless languages. There are not any local audio system. Modern audio system have constrained talents. Greeks talk Modern Greek, and the Coptic Church speaks Arabic. The Trinitarians in Greece and Egypt depend extra on culture than language. Besides, there are tons of Greek Jehovah's Witnesses, or even one of the most meant NWT translators used to be a local Greek speaker: George Gangas. It does not topic what present day Greeks or Egyptians consider now. What concerns is what they believed while the NT used to be written, and while the Sahidic Coptic variation used to be made. Some say that it isn't important if John a million:a million relatively says "the Word used to be a god," considering the fact that the Trinity is so transparent in different materials of the Bible. However, people who say which are relatively depending an excessive amount of on present day English translations that render unique passages in a Trinitarian method. Take this quote from a present day Biblical Greek student, Daniel Wallace: "Few in these days might take dilemma with Rudolf Bultmann’s oft-quoted line that “In describing Christ as ‘God’ the New Testament nonetheless physical games exceptional restraint.” The record of passages which look explicitly to spot Christ with God varies from student to student, however the quantity is virtually by no means greater than a part dozen or so. As is good recognized, virtually the entire texts are disputed as to their confirmation—because of textual or grammatical system defects—John a million:a million and 20:28 being the one 2 which might be often conceded with out dialogue." Interestingly, he just about says that students can not agree on which verses say Jesus is God. This is considering the fact that of "textual or grammatical system defects" - verses that experience unique readings in historic manuscripts (Such as Acts 20:28) or verses which may also be validly translated in a non-Trinitarian method (Such as Hebrews a million:eight). Except, he says, John a million:a million. This is exciting considering the fact that in one in all his discussions of John a million:a million, he says that "god" in a million:1c elements to characteristics and attributes, and now not an identification. Also, he turns out ignorant of the Sahidic John a million:a million. I consider it is humorous that men and women consider that the opposite gospels say that Jesus is God. Where do this get that from? Matthew 28:19? Lol. Then that signifies that Peter, James, and John are a Trinity considering the fact that they're recounted in combination in Mark nine:two.

I think it should go ok because you are both Christians. JUst when you go to meet his family, talk with yuor boyfriend about the various aspects of his family, and any cultural observances that you should be aware of and you should be fine. Good luck

I think it can work out. Have you ever heard of that rapper Egyptian Lover? He is from way back in 1989 but you can still find some of that music around. Anyway, he sang songs that said "Egypt is the place to be, Egypt, Egypt" "Egyptian lover baby, Egyptian lover baby..." and this would be great mood music for the two of you to do "stuff" to. You can also do a little Bangles remix and walk around for him singing "walk like an Egyptian" doing the little hand thing.

Why are you making a religion an issue, if you both have respect then both can worship how you want, wars are fought over beliefs, remember that, the same war has been going on for 3000 years in the middle east. Go beyond that for your part, if he dose not respect that, then move on

Geeze, if everybody needed their families to get along, only about half as many people would get married each year.

Families should try to get along no matter what, and just be glad their offspring found someone to love.

Religion should not be a issue. This can be a major mistake. In my opinion, if the two of you get along great, both of you should pass that vibe along to you'll families.
