Do you mean Mariska (sounds like ma-RISH-ka, which seems to be what you're going for here)?
If so, it's a Hungarian pet form of Maria, so basically "little Maria/Mary." The meaning of Mary itself is debated, but "sea of bitterness" seems the most acknowledged probability (no more likely than the following, however). It can also be traced to "rebelliousness" or "wished-for child," and the most likely origin and meaning is as an Egyptian name stemming from mry or mr, meaning "beloved/love."

I don't know, but I think you may be thinking of Mariska (like the girl from Law and Order SVU) and the name means little Mary. It's a russian/hungarian/ukranian nickname. Mary means bitterness or Star of the sea.
I love the name and I think it's beautiful. Also Mariska is a prettier spelling that Morishka. :)

It could be an adaptation of the name Morris, meaning dark skinned and Shakina/Shakira/ or Shakil, meaning beautiful or handsome.
Or it's just made up.
