I was way above average in all but the effort I put out. I was bored in high school and averaged about a B+. College, I worked harder, but since I hadn't learned any study skills in high school, I was a B - C student at best. The few classed I have taken since I graduated college I have valued because I was using my hard earned money to pay for them - those I got A+ grades in.

I still considered myself a brain, though!

Nah...I only put out enough effort to be an average student in high school.

By the time I went to college, which was THREE YEARS after I graduated from high school, I wanted the education so BADLY that I DID put out my best efforts, and got consistant A's and A+'s.

My mark in all my terms was 4.0 only because they didn't have provision for recording more. If they had, it would have read 4.4 grade point average (110%).

My first two years were a mess. The last 1 1/2 (I graduated early), were great, but not enough to bring up my GPA.

Now, College was a totally different story. Only got 2 B's, the rest were A's. Enjoyed it much, much more. Think I'll go back for some more!

Not in high school....but earlier. Remember the Iowa Basic Skills tests? I got like 98% almost all through grade school......then I was average...in college an honors student. Except for math. Can't get it! LOL

I was by no means a "brain" in school. I struggled somewhat but persevered & graduated with a few extra credits than was required. As I look back, I know that I didn't apply myself as I should have & I wish I would have. I was raised in a very dysfunctional home & that was part of the problem.

I was pretty average. Below average in Math. I still dislike math.
I do fairly well on IQ tests and took a test some years ago to work for the State and did better than most people on that test. (Just so you do not think I am a complete dummy).

I ranged from B+ to A- . In college was a member of the Accelerated Honors Program yet managed to trash that after my Frosh year! LOL

I was the "brains" alright! But it certainly wasn't in the classroom curriculum! It varies from school to school. We moved every 6 months. High test scores saved me from having to repeat a course that I was failing in! I was sooooo bored, that even I am surprised that I received my Diploma, Yearbook, & Class Ring!
