If you are putting yourself out there as an inventor then you will always come across criticism.. The trick is not to take it to heart but learn from it.. Criticism can be very destructive (we just want to knock someones ego down).. You should look at the criticism and strip out the emotional component and see what is left. You might be surprises and find genuine problems or answers to your invention leading to improvement.. this is a positive thing. We only take on the negative though and feel we are less for this.. Turn it around and take something from it not just a bad feeling..
More often those that give criticism are just jealous that they didn't think of the invention first.. Take that as a sign you are a winner and they are the looser..

good luck with the inventing thing wish I could come up with that million dollar idea ( well at least one that is original LMAO)

Dear Ferrari -

You can always invent something and then not tell anyone - but that seems kind of pointless. If you want to make a working model and possibly market it, then you will need to patent it. This requires that you prove that it will function as you say it will and that noone else has already filed a patent for the same idea. This involves the open possibility of criticism, which is just part of the process to get to a working product. Life's sorta like that whatever you do... Go for it.

Many great inventions were criticized in the past. This does not mean that you should simply give up. There could be many reasons why a certain someone will not appreciate your creation; they may be jealous, or simply trying to help you improve for the better. Sometimes you should simply listen, and perhaps you'll see why your work is criticized. Once again, do not give up, and learn from your mistakes.

First invent something and then we can discuss it.

For one, I won't believe you if you said, "I won't invent anything because you are going to criticize me!". That's just childish.

Go invent something and then let the chips fall.
