i am making a mosaic and i really need some ideas please make it simple and easy to make in a short period of time. PLease any suggestion

I have nevr done mosaic work but I hsve a chest that my uncle made for me years ago and I have always wanted to do a tree of life mosaic on its lid.
It is just a basic tree. But you could do basic quilt patterns on it. That would be different, and cute. Ive never seen them done in mosaic except for simple squares or rectangles lined up.

I like birds or a dragon fly. I once made a very pretty flower with glass chips, very easy, as you make a simple shape and just fill in the back ground with little bits.
You might try quilt patterns for some simple shapes as well.

A few years ago I made a rainbow and a Flower design. I also made a heart once.
