>>Rooms for free?<<
You can get, rooms, meals, shows and or just about anything else you can imagine, so long as it's not illegal or immoral.
We were in LV from 6/4 - 7/5(31 nights) all comped, and no we are NOT high rollers and NO you don't have to lose big bucks to get comped. You do have to know.
#1 - What to play
#2 - How to play
#3 - Where to play
#4 - How to manage your bankroll
I could write a book on this subject, thank goodness someone else already has, which is going to save me a lot of keystrokes
"Comp City" - Mac Rubin
"The Frugal Gambler" - Jean Scott AKA the Queen of Comps
This is the best site, for learning how to get more out of LV than it gets out of you.

>You know all those Travel Chanel shows on LV they go to the LVA when they want the experts.
We are going back to LV in December for 19 nights, 7 comped and $254 total for the other 12 nights. Sometimes it's to our advantage to pay an extremely low rate for a room rather than take the comp.
We play nickel/dime/quarter video poker. Not exactly your stereotypical LV high rollers :))
Sign up for e-mail up dates from any hotel you're interested in. The will send you specials when they become available. It is rare to get a free room offer just from signing up online but it does happen(usually for December).
Sign up for and use slot club cards.

Later: "NOTHING in Vegas is free" - A common quote on here and NOTHING could be further from the truth. You can get all sorts of things absolutely free, no strings attached, you just have to know how & where.

As I've seen other posters say NOTHING IN VEGAS IS FREE. They don't give away anything. Period.
In order to get a room for free, you have to gamble a lot in their casino. That's after you have already paid for the room. They may give you credit for a future stay, or food deals while you're there.
You can get room deals if you look. I like to go to different casinos to play. ( I call it playing because I don't plan to win). I wouldn't want to be stuck at one casino, there are so many to go see.
One way you can get free rooms is do a timeshare sales pitch. The only problem with that is you have to play on their terms. I researched the Tahiti Village one, just for fun. I found out that I had to guarantee the "cost" of the trip by credit card and that was 600 bucks or so for just the room they find you. 3 nights, 600 bucks, pretty pricey.
If you don't completely go through their "program" you pay for the trip. I like spending my time enjoying Vegas, not sitting and being sold to. High pressure for sure. I know a couple who's friends got suckered into a pitch while they were there. All for a "free" show.
I'd suggest finding a reasonable room rate.

At each hotel go sign up for their "club" which gives you a card to use while gambling and keeps track of how much you spend, win, etc. The Pit Boss also can give you certain comps at the table games.
Unless you spend a lot, it really isn't likely you are going to get comped for rooms, etc., perhaps some meals and the little stuff. After you have been to one hotel, then you will be on their mailing list, and often get great offers for future travel.
My best advice to you is to stay in a very inexpensive hotel, and then go around and gamble and explore the expensive places. Many sites available for discount rooms.

NOTHING in LV is free !!
Reserve your room through the casino hotel directly.
As already stated - join the casino players clubs. Spend for the room what you are prepared to pay, if eating in that casino charge your meals to your room. Before you check out contact a casino host to see if the casino will cover the charges for the room and essentials.
Only charge on your plastic what you can pay off when the bill comes.
NEVER play using plastic money.(cash advance, home equity)
Only take $$$ to LV that you can afford to lose.
NEVER use next months house, car, rent, utility, tuition payments or gas & grocery money.
Having said all that, If they do comp your room or anything else you have probably lost 10 X that.

Another cheaper option is to sign up for a timeshare presentation. You can get a 3- 5 night hotel stay for the price of one. You just have to listen to their timeshare presentation.

spend a great deal of money gambling, over 1,000 and they (the Hotel) will comp you a room usually...my sister in law does it all the time, but she literally has money to burn....
