esp when you are really busy and you don't have time to look closely just wondering is there a system in place that tells you that salt has been added to the fries

i used to work at McDonald's n on busy shifts there is normally 1 person who cooks, salts n bags the fries up so the people getting the food ready can just grab a bag n give it to ther customer.
on less busy days when the fryer beeps to say the fries are ready as soon as they go in the tray they are salted, so the chances are they will have been salted.
if u work there n your not sure if they have been salted then just give the customer a couple of sachets of the salt thats kept under the counter so they can salt them for there self, that way everyone is happy, if u dont work there n dont know if there salted then ask for a couple of sachets of salt they are free n u only have to pay for sauces.

hope this helps u out a bit!!!

Don't work at Maccies but I always get hold of a couple of chips (yes, I'm to old to call them fries) Put them down and then rub my fingers together. If it feels like an exfoliate face scrub I know there's too much salt and take them back and wait for a fresh batch and grab them before they're salted. I sometimes get the feeling the person who puts the salt on as either got Parkinson's or is suffering from the DT's.

as a manager for Mcdonalds (someone has to be), every basket of fries get salted with 2.5g of salt by a gadget called a Accushaker. you can clearly tell if the fries have been salted by traces of salt BUT if a customer requests fries WITHOUT salt, Mcdonalds do our best to not salt the fries.

...so, if you dont want salt on your fries but want to add your own salt, ask for fries without salt and ask for a few packets of salt- that way you know they are going to be fresh.....

No, there isn't a system, but they almost never missed being salted. Also, there's so much salt clinging to the scoop and inside of the bin that you can't really tell too much if they haven't been salted.

You have to assume that salt has been added, but you can request your fries with no salt.

THEY used to put a lot of salt on them to make you thirsty but after many complaints they have stopped doing it.

You don't have to look that closely to see salt, they put loads of it on.
