A missed period is a sign that you are pregnant. Therefore, when a woman gets her period, it is usually a good sign that she is not pregnant. If she had a normal period, then I would say that she is not pregnant. Especially if she is taking birth control pills. Stop worrying, it does not sound like you are going to be a dad anytime soon. =)

1. You are not wrong and yet...To a certain degree I think it is a compliment they are urging you to go to school. It means that they either like you quite a lot or know that your bf likes you quite a lot (otherwise they would just urge him to dump you). 2. You should consider their wisdom...but remain true to yourself. Divorces do happen, so do injuries, illnesses, etc. Having a degree could very well be in your and his best interest. Plus, there are so many choices of things to specialize in! You could find a subject you are passionate about or dream up a career you've always wanted. College can be much more exciting than high school. And the benefits of a degree can remain with you forever (higher salary & more likely to earn benefits, more job choices, treated with more respect, opportunity for advancement, ETC.) That said, if you have your heart set on not going to go to school because it is your dream to do something else with your life then don't force yourself to go. College requires dedication and motivation, neither of which you will have if you are only attending for someone else. But again, it's hard to think of a dream that either college or technical school wouldn't benefit. Want to start a family? How about course work in child development or family relationships? Love animals? There are degrees for that, too. ETC. Want to own your own small business? There are business courses...You get the picture. 3. TALK to your bf before you make any rash decisions. Tell him how much it hurts you when your family says stuff to you. His reaction will tell you a lot about where you "should" go from here. If he says he agrees with them and he only wants a wife who will be successful career-wise...but you plan on being a stay-at-home mom, then you know there is something that you two either need to work out or consider to be a deal breaker. On the other hand he might say, "I'm sorry they hurt your feelings. I love you no matter what you do. They're just looking out for you. We all feel a college degree would be in your potential best interest." That's another story... Good luck. :)

Yes, it is possible (though rare) for a woman to be pregnant and still have her period. However, if it was a month ago when you had sex the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), also called the pregnancy hormone should be at a high enough level to show on a pregnancy test.
The pregnancy hormone, hCG, is made in your body when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus. This usually happens about 6 days after conception. But studies show that the embryo doesn't implant until later in some women. The amount of hCG increases drastically with each passing day you are pregnant.
Also, if she had her period on Thursday November 1st, she should have ovulated around the 18th.
Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Yes, a woman can be pregnant and still have some bleeding. However, the woman in your case is not. If she took a test and it came up negative, and then she got her period, the chances are extremely slim that she is pregnant. Also, the bleeding a woman gets during pregnancy (unless she is miscarrying) is not as heavy or last as long as a real period - she would notice the difference if she was concerned enough to take a hpt. You can both relax, she's not pregnant.

The chances of her being pregnant after having her period and a negative test are slim to none. Stop being paranoid and relax! You shouldn't be worried at all! Take a deep breath!
If you want to be 99% sure of not getting a woman pregnant regardless of if she said she is taking the pill, then use a condom and say its to protect you and her from any std's. If she likes you she will still have sex with you and then you can both have peace of mind.
Best of luck!

Well, it's very possible that a woman can be pregnant and still bleed...yes. However, if she took a pregnancy test, already got her period, and the test was negative...then more than likely she is not pregnant. Not to mention...you say she's on the pill? I mean, women get pregnant while on the pill, yes, but she's already ruled out pregnancy two ways.
The best thing she can do is go see a physician. Or...she could take another test in a few weeks. Stress can delay her next period, so you both need to chill. I know it's scary for you and for her, but stress is the largest contributing factor for late periods.
Good luck to you both.

There are a very few women who still have regular periods during pregnany but it's not common at all. Given the fact that she is using the birth control pill and has had a normal period, it's very unlikely that she would be pregnant.
Good luck,
Missy

Yes it is possible to have your period after you are pregnant, although it is normally not a normal period and is generally very light. If she took a pregnancy test within a couple of days of starting her period then she is more than likely not pregnant because most Home pregnancy test are made to detect the HCG levels that would be present about 4 days before you would normally start your period. If you are still nervous about it just ask her to take another home pregnancy test after her period is over. If is still negative then she is not pregnant. Dont worry so much.

dont worry...i highly doubt she's pregnant. if she's experiencing a period then it's not likely she's pregnant. it is possible to bleed during pregnancy, but most women dont bleed and the ones that do usually only spot. if she took the pregnancy test on time then it should have been accurate. please calm down. ask her to take another test if your not sure. also, birth control pills (if taken correctly) they are 99% accurate.

yes she can have her period still...but if she said it was like a normal period you should be fine....also since she is on birth control. how long has she been on it for? it usually takes at least a month to kick in and id personally wait about two months. if you really are worrying a lot still have her take another one now. it would be far enough along for the results to pop up accurately but i honestly do not think she is preg.
