So I have to write an essay persuading the school to either get rid of the book 'The Catcher and the Rye' or to keep it available for students to read. I'm having a hard time choosing what side would be easier to write about. So if you could please tell me what side you'd write about with three reasons why. I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Look at exactly what the question is asking. The assignment is about whether or not a book should be banned or included in a high school curriculum. The book happens to be "Catcher in the Rye." How do you feel about whether a book should be banned in high school? Don't look for the 'easiest' answer, write your opinion. If you're not sure what your opinion is, talk to some people you trust and see what they think. Discuss the different ideals or questions that come up around bannng books. You'll do a better job of writing if you are expressing your opinion.

Number one it is "The Catcher IN the Rye"
We just read this book and it is really good! Normally i don't like the books we have to read for school but this one was really good.
I think this book should be kept because there is a lot of symbolism, there are also a lot of themes, and also even though it is pretty old it has stuff that is relevant for teens today. He is very depressed, and there are a lot of depressed teens, and he talks about girls, which is obviously still really relevant to guys!
This books has so much stuff you have to learn anyway and it's actually a somewhat enjoyable way to learn it also.

I'd suggest first learning that the title is Catcher in the Rye.
