Okay, even if you can eat it three times a week and not get fat, it is NOT good for you. It's full of preservatives and trans fats which are negatively affecting your heart, your arteries, your liver, etc. Remember, you can't always see outwards evidence of what is going on in your body. You don't have to be fat to be unhealthy.

Society tends to look for the easy answer and sees the high calories in fast food and concludes that is why people are fat. For some who eat fast food often that may be the case. That is not the case for me. I was a very fat kid (200 in 4th grade and over 450 after high school) and over the last 9 years I added 400 to go from 220 to 620. I hardly ever ate fast food. What I did and do like to do is overeat. That is what makes people fat and in my case very fat. I choose this behavior because I am happiest when I am very fat and love my size and the way I show it. Weight gain occurs when calorie intake exceeds calorie burn. The less active you are if you eat a lot the fatter you will be. I am the case in point.

just an easy way out for all these food giants to throw down the fat issue, yes some may have alot of crap in them but like you said every day then its not healthy but 2 to 3 times a week ok if your metab is fast, but the high calories is good for u to take in for energy so it depends on how u look at it, if your lazy and eat u get fat, if ur active and eat may gain a couple but it goes off just as fast, plus u still can get fat from home cooking so what the deal

Fast food isn't exactly healthy. So I think some people try to put that message out to others. I also think that some people (who are a bit overweight) don't want to take responsibility for their eating habits and blame the food. Look at the litigation that's arisen over the past few years.

people want to blame anyone but themselves for problems in their lives. it's easier to blame restaurants for making them fat than accepting blame. i agree with you. if fast food is eaten in moderation, then it's not so bad for you. it's when you eat it 2 times a day all week when you're going to see the ill effects.

Part of the problem with "fast food' is that it is prepared fast and many of the nutrients are lost in the process. Plus, the tendency to eat finger foods, fried foods, and to skip vegetables means you aren't eating a healthy diet of food.
If you eat 3 meals a day and only a day or so where only two of them are well balanced with fruits and vegetables, fast food might not affect you so negatively. It's the fats and sugars in the fast food that makes you crave them.

They blame fast food for being fat, b.c they dont want to blame it on themselves. Its easier to put the blame on Macdonald's or other fast food places, them admit to themselves, to eat healthier and in moderation.
