i did not add more programs how can i cahnge it back with out compressing it

I had the same problem. go to ur c drive and look for any unwanted programs. or go to windows program remover and look for anything there. also go to disk disfragmentor i feed up 10gigs and disk clean up as well

It happens with some computers. The memory is there but the computer just does not recognize it unless you make some kind of upgrade. I had a Windows ME once and got a larger hard drive. The computer did not recognize the entire memory splitting it into a C and D. Even then it didn't see all of the memory. Then I upgraded to XP and boom it regognized the whole hard drive as one drive.

It shows your drive in pictorial form letting you easily see what is taking up all the space.

I has a similar problem. Least I know what it is now.
