and money is all you need but 2 make sure ask your parents or just call the bank and ask them .. i opened mine when i was 17 also and i didn't need a co-singner .. just go to the bank

You have to be 18 before you can own an account with wells Fargo, You don't need to have a co-signer, since its suppose to be a personal account.

You can have a checking account but one of your parents or another adult, would have to sign on it as custodian until you are legally old enough to sign a contract. The only way a 16 year old could get an account by himself is if he is an emancipated minor.

...in the eye of the law your not responsible for your actions,and as a minor you can't be sued.That's why a co-signature from an adult is necessary. Like a parent.

you have to be 18 with 2 peices of id if your under 18 you need id a parent there or phone in saying its ok.
