None of the 912s are especially fast... and there are really only two versions to compare: the 912, produced from 1965 to 1969, and the 912E which was produced in 1976. While the later car features a larger engine, the earlier car produced more power, had more torque, and was in a chasis that totaled about 300 pounds less. The later car had better brakes, but with the extra weight to brake, it didn't have much of an edge in braking performance.
Overall, in any measure of speed, the earlier 912 will best the 912E. As to which year of the 912? In terms of mechanical specs, there are few differences between the years. The 1969 car lists an increase of 1hp. However, given that most markets where the car was sold, 1968 had increases in safety regs, so the 1969 car is probably a little heavier as well (and a little more too as '69 was a long wheel base model).
Potentially the 1969 could be a little quicker, though it would be a very marginal amount. In reality, the 1967 would likely be the fastest, gaining a small number of mechanical upgrades since it was introduced, but predating any changes that could slow it (though the difference between any of these early models would be very very small).

INone!
no, really - 'd be interested to know why you're asking. Do you want to buy one? As Paul says, the differences are minimal. If you are just curious, see his answer. If you're thinking of buying one, consider that they are 30-40 years old. If you want speed or performance, and a 912 (usually mutually exclusive, depending on how broad you like to define things), then look for the one with the mods. Look for one with upgraded suspension, bigger brakes, engine upgrades, exhaust, etc. Not that these are usually heavily modified, but that would make the difference between two examples, vs original stock performance. For comparable stock original examples, consider which you prefer (color, condition, price, styling, wheels, etc).
Good Luck -

You can't make a 912 fast. People have tried.
Well you can by putting a 911 engine in it.
