That might also end the whole mankind if America should end by war, unlike previous empires where weapons of mass destruction were not available similar to the kinds America now possesses which can destroy mankind several times over.

What America should do is to seek ways and means to govern the rest of mankind by incorporating the rest of mankind into its empire, in a manner like the Roman Empire did, which lasted for several hundred years.

How did it succeed? By giving Roman citizenship to all peoples in its conquered lands which became its colonies.

That is the challenge to America, to bring US citizenship to all people who seek it, and to provide the ways and means for all citizens to use their own talents and labor, to arrive at a good life of liberty and the pursuit of happiness on the basis of equality and fraternity.

I really think that the USA, like the Roman Empire will be first defeated internally before an outside source defeats them. don't believe me, look up your history, Rome was already falling by the time Rome was sacked. In the USA the extremists are already pulling country apart (BOTH left and right). No country really has to do anything, the extremists are doing a fine job of ruining this country.

Your question states its own wrong answer. Throughout history, civilizations have failed in several different ways. War is one way, but accounting for less than half of the failures. Civilizations have also failed because of natural catastrophes (earthquake, volcano, flood); using up natural resources; shift of economic/trading patterns, perhaps due to ecological factors; and sometimes because the society responded to a challenge in an inappropriate way. My guess is that the United States will drop out of first place because of economic changes, dwindle down and eventually disappear because of using up our natural resources. But we might collapse for any one or combination of the reasons.

No,it is ending as Rome did,by moral decay and hedonism.Though it will be absorbed into the Fascist New World Order as just another nation of serfs. That's what all the wars taking place are all about. And why Nafta,Gatt, the WTO and the NAU are not opposed by Americans to any great degree.

Hmmm, exciting solutions on your questions I see. i think of evaluating u.s. to Rome in itself is a splash over attaining yet i can savour the similarities. i think of there is often someplace that's the main important and the applicable in any area of history. Egypt, Persia, Rome, Spain, Britain etc all had their day in the solar yet as cases exchange, so do situations i do no longer think of it's going to be a case of u.s. falling by way of the wayside as all of us rush to get on area with the hot superpower on the city. it's going to be sluggish. yet, to respond to your question- no i do no longer think of that u.s. is dealing with drawing close doom yet whether it is truly how suitable they permit themselves to stay. so some distance they have beat everybody with the "look how lots money we've" stick yet in destiny different countries will for sure have greater money the U. S. does and a cleaver united states of america would pass with the flow and not stick in the dirt.

Every civilization falls, so it would not surprise me if we did collapse because our military was weakened through war.
