i recently bought a nokia 6300 that (i now know) has been stolen, and locked by the manufacturer. Not locked to a network.

If the phone and the sim are both locked, then the phone is a paperweight with gps that can be traced to you.

you could be charged with recieving stolen goods.
remove the battery now!!!
If you want any chance of getting you money back you may have to deal with the police.
unless you know where to find who sold it to you.

Thats a difficult one mmm!!!!! why dont you take it to a Nokia dealer have them check it out you might get your problem solved.
