My daughters father is a lawyer and he doesn't want anything to do with our daughter. He just changed, told me he doesn't want to be a father, ever!
Anyway, so now i'm on my own raising my daughter and i love it! However, it's a little hard finacially, so i asked her father if he could perhaps helf finacially toward her living expenses. He said to me very sternly 'if i was to "extort" any money from him for his daughter he will taker her off me for good, that he will make it that he will have her!!!'
He told me to go away and leave it alone or face a huge fight, he said it was my choice!
He never signed a perternity test, nor will he, he refused. I know i can take him to court and make him have a perternity test, but why should i have to force someone to be a father, i shouldn't have to.
He isn't a nice person, should have realised that when we were together, but he treated me very well, until i got pregnant.
Our daughter is 2 now, she has never known her dad. If i was to pursue..

Maintenance from her father can he get any access to her even though she doesn't know him. If tell the courts he had threaten to take her off me if i was to pursue this do the courts consider that threat or is that just his word agains mine?
I'm only concerned for my daughter, i don't want him anywhere near her, he doesn't want her, he would mistreat her, believe me he would. He needs to pay though! Whats my daughters rights?

Get a lawyer, get paternity, custody and support established. This is no place to play games.

In Washington State, and most states, a child has the right to be financially supported by both parents. But you must first establish that he is the father. This requires that you file a paternity suit. After paternity has been established (he either acknowledges paternity or has a DNA test done), the court will order him to pay child support. It would be up to him to ask for visitation. It would be very rare aka I'd be amazed, for him to get custody, but the court may give him some visitation. Most likely, he'd start out with supervised visits and go from there.

My best advice, get a good attorney. Its worth the money.

Generally, if the father pays child support, then the father is allowed visitations with the child. In some states if a mother restricts these visits the father can go back into court and force the mother to allow visits.

You need to decide if you want the money more than you want to keep him from your child. If you pursue this in court, you can force the paternity tests and probably get child support. BUT you will be bringing him into your child's life. From what you say that sounds like he will purposely complicate matters.

Your daughters father is evil and selfish, if you need advice look for Womanspace or a similar group. First, if he pays, you can't deny him visitation rights, if you fear for your daughter this is paramount, you would need to prove that he has violent intentions, perhaps taping conversations or have someone in authority witness them. Once you go to court you are leaving yourself open to a bad decision by the court. You must thoroughly discuss this with a lawyer or a very experienced womans counselor. Of course the first reaction is to make the creep pay, but this may bring so much heartache, it may not be worth it. Best Of Luck!

Your sperm donor is an IDIOT. Take control of your life and your daughter's life and forget about him. You don't need his stinking money. It's not worth your time and energy... your daughter will definitely miss having a father in her life; but better she be raised by a strong woman who considers her the first and top priority.

Do take a huge life insurance policy out on this loser and hope for the best in the years to come... :-)

Get a lawyer TODAY!

Make the bastard pay the way he should by law.

A judge will be very sympathetic towards you and your child.

Do NOT be afraid!
