If you're talking about "The Secret" I can tell you it is a load of New Age baloney.
There are indeed elements that are couched in truth. For example, if I have a positive outlook on life good things are more likely to happen to me, or at least I will not be as let down by bad things. Beyond that, the whole idea of sending out energy and vibrations to tell the universe what it is you want, is malarkey.
The Secret is nothing but wishful thinking in a magical world. It also has a built in safety catch--if you don't get what you are wishing for then it's your fault for not wishing for it hard enough.
It frustrates me that responsible, seemingly intelligent *adults* fall for this load of BS. The only people made wealthy by the Secret are those who pulled off the con of selling it to the public. The Secret is nothing more than self-help meets the Da Vinci Code.
On top of all of the pseudoscience, they also flat-out lie. There was no Secret shared by historical figures like the Knights Templar or Thomas Edison. (Also, the "law of attraction" is not a law.)

I have watched "The Secret". My wife has both watched the movie and read the book.
I don't know if it works the same say as a law of nature but positive thinking never hurt anyone so why not try it.
However, "The Secret" is certainly not the first to suggest this idea. This idea can be found in sympathetic magic which people in different cultures have used for years.
Like all non conventional claims I suggest that you experiment and investigate fo your self.

The Law of Attraction isn't such a Secret and doens't really work.
If your having a bad day, then it's probably going to stay the same, but thinking positive won't do anything much and you need to work hard and do something and not just 'believe' in this supposed Law.
Working hard, practice, learning from mistakes, and thinking optimistically (but don't rely totally on your attitude to make you money or win things) makes your life better.

I do believe in Law of attraction, becouse i have been practicing doing it for the past 4 years. at first i thought it was just coincidence but soo...many coincidence that answered my wish (specially when i am passionate about it). i attract laptop, motorbike ,holiday overseas, job etc .Iam geeting better at it .Some how now i knew why my wish did manifest or why other wish didn't manifest. I figure it out that my wish come true not becouse iam thingking so hard about it but it's more like when iam really passionate about it, it comes true And i know when iam passionate about something i believe strongly i will get what i want. Sometimes to have the thing you want you might need alittle action, or it can just come to you(less action),Believe it or not, law of attraction is real.To me it is.

I only know that when I had small children and expected to be skint, I always was. I have come through harder times and survived, and I now expect there will always be enough for my needs and some over to share - that is what happens. Is the Law of Attraction bringing abundance to me? Perhaps. When my needs are met, it is enough. But there are many who always want more - enough is never enough. I think the real Secret is knowing what you want, and making it possible, by your own efforts.

It works, in the Secret they don't give you all the answers they just give you some information and you have to do all the work. The Secret does work, my father watched it religiously once every week, and he started to get checks in the mail from different companies, it was strange all the sudden everyone just started to send him money, for simple reasons like we over looked this on your bill so we owe you, things like that. Once he stopped watching the Secret every week the money stopped. So anyway yes the Law of Attraction does work not without trial and error. Once you get it you will really get it. Good luck to you & stay away from negatvie people.

People have real issues and real modification they want make, your problem is real and this is way you need a real solution. You need to seem like you in fact have a method to start making the modifications in your life. This is where this guide Manifestation Miracle that you can discover here https://tr.im/oDtYR excels due to the fact that, if your life isn't really the life that you want, isn't really best YOU CAN do something making it your way.
In this guide you aren't taught anything wonderful about Manifestation. Instead you're taught the ways you have to think in order to alter the environment around you. When you alter your environment, you're able to alter your conditions. Changing your conditions means altering your circumstances. When you alter your condition you alter your thoughts and this is turn will lead to different behavior on your part. This different behavior is going to help you to produce all sorts of change that will draw particular things to you like never ever before.

I don't know..I've always been attracted to people who were wrong for me. I think people who have the same interests are thrown together more and that would give them more reason to be attracted to each other. I think it's awful when people marry people they have nothing in common with. There's really nothing for them to share. I don't mean they have to do everything together, but they at least should have an interest in the things the other one does.
EDIT...pd....I think we must be talking about two different things. I must have misunderstood this question. I guess you're looking at it from the scientific aspect...as usual...and I was looking at it from the love aspect. I wonder which one he meant ! What "Secret" are you talking about???? One thing I do know...a skeptic and a believer should never marry!! lol
EDIT..I think I just stepped into a pile of scientific................... I think I should delete this answer...but I'm going to leave it to save someone else from embarrassment who might be planning to answer in the same way.
EDIT...I gotta know...WHAT IS THE SECRET???
EDIT...ok...Nobody would tell me so I googled it. For the others who don't know...it's a movie/book/tapes...I think it's about how to gain prosperity.
EDIT...This "Law" doesn't seem fair to poor people & severely handicapped people. (Or are they getting "karma" back?? I hope not.)

of course it works..it'sbasically works on the principle that what you focus on, or give your attention to, becomes into your life...if you focus on what you don't want, you'll also atrract it..becuase you're giving it your attention & energy..
(better to walk way frm what you don't want & leave it behind.)
I'm going to do an experiement, I'm going to focus on sth for the next week, & I'll see the results. I'll let you know how it goes!
There's a book called The Law Of Attraction by Esther Hicks and Jerry Hicks
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Law-Attraction-Esther-Hicks/dp/1401915329/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194820493&sr=8-1
& there's another kind of theroy about the law of attraction which is one of the laws of the Universe or a spiritual law, that is you attract what you give out or what you give out comes back to you, sometimes 10fold or more! (the Law of karma)..I love this , as it always rights wrongs & injustices...
(for more info read this book:
