I think that sex education begins at home ! Parents need to teach teens boys/girls alike to respect themselves, their bodies and to protect themselves.. That means young teenage woman need to be educated about proper sex/birth control.. Get on the bc pill and boys need to be responsible with using condoms.. With every partner, every time... If both young teen boys/girls (men/woman) would take ownership of their sexuality/rights then it wouldn't be an issue.. Teens need to get information involving STD's, AIDS and preventing pregnancy's'.. It starts in the home.. Also, there's needs to be constant communication between teens and parents... I know it's not a wild/crazy solution but, it's certainly a start.. Schools can help by teaching the information as well.... It would be nice to think that all teens are practicing abstinence but, that's NOT the world that we currently live in.....

Dear Friend, Thinking back, I didn't always connect sex and pregnancy. Also, I bought into the lie that premarital sex is okay. Finally, teen pregnancy can be prevented by a big dose of old fashioned values. The chaperone, was a great idea. If boys and girls are not alone, a pregnancy can not occur. You know, I think that many people live this aspect of their lives by seeing how close they can get to the cliff without falling off. Don't even go near the cliff. keep pure spiritually, follow God. Sincerely, Runner

Hide in a dark closet that is locked from the outside with nothing to eat but raw spagetti fed under the door every hour until you are thirty. Or, just make good choices, don't have sex and, yes, maybe even encourage masterbation so it's not as tempting to have sex.

I wish there was a magic answer. I think we have to try it all from education, to just say no, to providing BC, etc. Ithink different things will work with different teens.
