personally, i've only used canon and sony. the camera that i have now is sony cyber-shot DSC-W80. i have one problem with it and that is it takes forever to take the actually picture. my mom has the canon powershot SD750. it's a fairly good camera. doesn't have the same problem as mine. only one? i guess the canon because of that one problem with sony's camera.

Olympus and Canon, based on what I've used and seen.
I prefer Canon over the too.
I'm still set on the Digital Rebel, and pretty much willing to do anything to get it.
I'm so jealous, I've used it before, it like photoshops the picture like right when you take it! The color is so realistic, the best I've seen. I was using the XTi, but that's a little too much for me, the XT is more affordable.

I have 3 Nikon brand SLR's that I simply LOVE and would never, never part with I also have a Nikon brand older digital that still works GREAT.. !!!! Though, I'm deeply saddened that Nikon has switched to composite carbon (plastic) bodies/mounts in the recent yrs....

Nikon... but I can't afford the one I want.
So I have a small Canon that takes good pics.

NOOOOOO!
I can't just choose one.
Each brand is generally good for a specific set of conditions.
However..since you're forcing me to pick...
Canon. Though they tend to market to specific groups, my use with their products shows that they're good for all situations--whereas, many of the others are specific to a certain photographing environment.

i bought myself a digital kodak camera this summer..it was about 200$(150 euros)..and i like it a lot it has 7.2 megapixesls black and white colours or sepia...but they also gave me a cd,where i can modify or clean the pictures..it's not as complex as photoshop or other special programs...but then again it's very useful as it is..
and what about u ..considering your job..u must have a better idea than us...:D
