The games are for my husband , he is 23 ...can someone recommend a few games.
it doesn't matter what he likes, just let me know what you all think is good so that i can go check them out.

I especially suggest Battlefield 2 because it has AMAZING graphics and its a all around amazing game.

Shooting games (violent)
Crysis should be fantastic - comes out next week.
Bioshock as well.
The Orange Box provides a great deal of bang for the buck.
Sports fan? Can't go wrong with anything by EA (Madden, NBA Live, etc.)
Strategy games? Medieval II, Company of Heroes, World of Conflict.
Just make sure he has a decent computer - anything a year old or less should be able to handle the above. If his computer is too slow to handle the games you get him, they won't be as fun!

I suggest civilization. I play it a lot and have fun with it. Although I am not 23, I think he will like it. Also I Know someone who is 21 who likes the game World of War craft.

World of Warcraft is too addictive and it will snatch your husband's time away from you. If he is just beginning to play a PC game, then let him try Red Alert, a cool war game with fantastic war vehicles and soldiers. Other PC games I like to recommend are Super Text Twist (a word permutation game), Zuma (a bit addictive, but you will both enjoy playing this). Or try to buy him a play station, that would be better and you could play and enjoy it together.

If you get him World of Warcraft, you're gonna have to start with monthly fees and like the other people said, you're never gonna see your husband again.
I suggest you try getting F.E.A.R. or Counter Strike (if you have a good enough computer). If you've got a lower end computer, try Diablo 2.

Planetside was my fav, back when I had time to play games. I don't know how its doing now, game play depends on how many people are playing, I'd imagine a lot of people left when war-craft started. it still might be worth looking into.
