the number stands for the measurement for the circumference around your chest. the letter stands for the cup size. A being a smaller breast size and C being large. 32 meaning a skinnier person and a 42 being a larger person.

omg the number is the band size and the letter is the cup size. you dont do it like that. its hard to explain exactly how the cup and band size affect the size but lets say a girl wears a 34A then if she grows then she'll probably go to 34B (not 36A) and for the record 32 is a rarely used band size.

if the breast is one inch larger than the chest measurement directly beneath the breast, the lady wears an "A" cup, two inches a "B" cup and three inches a "C" cup. So if her chest measurement is 34 inches and her breast measurement is 37 inches she would wear a 34C bra.
