By no means am I discounting the PATS win. They won the game and noone can take that from them. But, without Moss' circus catches EVERY time they needed a big play, would the PATS have been able to beat the Colts yesterday?

Wait...is this an excuse for the Colts losing, "what if" we don't know, the game would have been different so what, people need to stop making excuses for certain teams winning/losing

One could argue that Jabbar Gaffney could have stepped in and Pats could have moved Stallworth to Mosses Spot, and Welker was the real difference maker.
To Anthony above: The game was only close because of several BAD calls by the Refs and resulting penalty yardage that set a FRANCHISE record.. I mean offensive pass interference?! cmon! You really think that Belichick will let the Pats be THAT undisciplined in the playoffs?! No way in hell... I think the AFC championship will have the pats winning by at least 2 TDs
but back to my point, yes let's not forget that belichick, love him or hate him, is a genius of the gridiron and shuffles people around SO well that he could have filled in that void and still came out on top.

Well the Colts with Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady era are 3-7 without him being on the team

0-1 with him on the team

we will never know

Time to move on Colt Fans ,Chargers next week in San Diego
they are P' d off after they got blown out like that

Its hard to say if they would have or not. Thats not the point however. They DO have Randy Moss. This IS the best team in football and I am looking foward to a rematch in January.

They just would have adjusted the strategy and played short passes, to Welker for first downs, and Stallworth would be the go to receiver...Stallworth is not Moss, obviously, but he is still good...They still would have won...They're just better than the rest of the NFL...

I think a better question is if Marvin Harrison had played would the Pats have won?

Yes they would have found a way to win. They've beaten them a few times with with an injury riddled secondary and troy brown as their #1 receiver.

nope ... doesn't matter tho ...they do have him. He is so tall, fast, and athletic Brady can throw it CLOSE to him and he will get it ... WHEN HE WANTS TO PLAY he make QB's look that much better. Look at Jeff George and Dante Caulpepper - they were pro bowlers with him ...without him ... sub-par QB's . Its scary that a stud QB like Brady has a stud receiver like moss ...

Without Addai would the game have been a blowout? P.S. Manning was sacked more than Brady.

Yes.

But they wouldn't have had to endure that ridiculous offensive pass interference call in the end zone.
