I'm looking to board my horse and also hoping that I can find a stable in the Detroit area. I also was curious if boarding my horse at a stable entitled me to riding whenever I wanted without paying for lessons. Also if any of this helps you: I've been riding for about a year total, I ride western best and am hoping to find english stables so I can try it.

I drive past Springbrook Equestrian Center in Sterling Heights on my way to work. It seems like one of the best stables you will find in the middle of a city. You can board horses there, i dont know any details about riding them or lessons, but you should check out this website

If you are looking for a place more in the "country" I would see what you could find in Romeo. Its not too far from Detroit. Good luck.

A stable in the Detroit area? You're joking, right? We ride and take lessons in Deckerville, and they board horses there. It's a place for normal, regular people who enjoy the animals, and it's two hours plus north of Detroit. In metro Detroit all you will find are clubs, which are for the wealthy. If you are wealthy, look in Grosse Point and Birmingham/Bloomfield and you will find something.

Not anywhere in the city anymore, but you got options all around. From Sterling Heights, to Grosse Point to Canton.

Good Luck!

The Grosse Pointe Hunt Cub is your best bet in the area.
