I think the mistakes of the past must be the lessons for the present – have we forgotten how this county banned together during world war one and two – their where tons of shortages not many folks remember the food coupons and I am not talking about the kind to save money their was a coupon – it was green and about 1 inch by 3 inches long. You redeemed this coupon every time you bought a loaf of break or milk or really any other thing because this countries shortages for the troops – now skip ahead 60yrs look at 9-11 the day the world stood still and prayed together as one voice and this country raised up and in one voice said enough is enough. It is so easy to give into fear when things look the worst but let us not forget the few good people that gave their lives for the many living in this country so in short when you think things are getting bad look around at those who need help and help where you can. You might find one day when your down someone reaches out and offers you a hand – so yes I believe we can support each other if we are honest caring people.

1. yes. Americans give more to charity than any country in the world. I think that spirit of commpassion can save us all.
2.A major depression isnt possible because there are many things that the government can do to prevent it or at least ease the effects of it. The financial system that we have now is much more complex and less resistant too collapse than it was 100 years ago (ex. 9/11 didn't have much of an impact).

I think people will be pleasantly suprised at how well many Americans work together and get through a depression (if it happens, which is a major if).

It would also be funny watching the lines stack up for those who will have to go to a church or other religious institution for food, shelter or both. And they'll be accepted for the most part.

Depends on the people because if there was an economic depression , it would be 55 times greater then the stock market crash of 1929 . Unemployment would hit masssive levels possible hitting 84 percent ! So if you have long time friends with no job , no food and maybe no house - would you trust him or her if she or he started acting really nice ?

I also see the signs. I am hoping that we as a country can rally and support each other, but I'm not sure if that will happen right away. There would be a lot of chaos and violence in the beginning. But hopefully the goodness in people in prevail.

There is surely a big change on the horizon for us. Hearing my professor in my Money & Banking class today is very intimidating for a 22 year old male. I feel like I can have no dependency with firms for a stable job, the Fed, or the banking industry with my money. The world is surrounded by capitalism. And apparently, a good way to revamp capitalism is war. Expect one.

Sorry, it's generally "survival of the fittest" when the chit hits the fan. Human nature dictates that the strongest survive. So those of us with the money and the ability to make more of it will do just fine. Others will struggle as they always have.

It's a good question.
I know what you mean. I am also seeing some very disturbing warning signs.
It could all work out I suppose if people put their heads together, instead of pointing fingers.

I think man has to come to the reality of what God gave at the beginging in the garden of Eden, was it for Man to have everything for free or were we to have money to rule over ourselves, to put big limits on our lives and for the coming generations to live in misery. Wake up Mankind, time for big changes, time to start loving one another. The bigger the country the bigger mess you have to clean up!

your view of our monetary place is only too pessimistic that's fortunate because of the fact fracking would have in common terms a minor effect on the conventional monetary equipment regardless of if there would desire to be some interior reach boosts to compensate partly for any damaging outcomes on the atmosphere
