how do you speed it up with out making it like 2 seconds long?

A quickie way I used to do to speed up recordings was to take a 33 RPM record and play it at 78 RPM. Of course that's not something that can easily be done today but it was common when I was a child.

It is a recording technique ... you need equipment to work it out correctly ....
