the secret is you don't have all the tools needed ,otherwise you would be able to make the boat

Find a plan that you can understand. There are many free ones on the Net with step by step instructions. Procrastination will not get it built.

experience, the correct instructions, a "guru" that can talk you through the hard spots.
It is LOT of work, no secret, just elbow grease and perseverance.
