Ok for the past 12 years we as Yankee fans have been used to the walk that he has to the mound. We've been fond of his crying where it seems that he can turn it on anytime he wants to. We watched his Yankees in the playoffs for every year he's managed us. He's spoiled us with 4 World Series victories. Georgie I know they haven't won one in the 21st century but I just saw a picture of Joe Torre in the Dodgers home jersey and it just doesn't feel the same. What's your thoughts.

The photos of him in a Dodgers uniform is very bittersweet for me. Sweet in that this gives Joe a new opportunity to do something new, and at 67 years of age when many feel that the best part of their life may be over, Joe has proven otherwise. I really do wish him well.
Now for the bitter (and not directed at him), in that last game against the Indians, I knew that the writing was on the wall.... I would never see Joe in a Yankee uniform again. I am very sentimental at times and I knew then that things will never be the same again when it comes to Yankee baseball. 162 regular season games * 12 years= 1944 games, plus the playoffs is the number of times that we as Yankee fans could welcome Joe into our homes. He will be missed.

You've said it all my friend.

We all know that Joe Torre was one of the best managers out there, and yes, we were spoiled by him, getting us to the playoffs EVERY year, and getting us to the world series 6 times and winning it 4 times. But the hard truth is that we cant expect Girardi to have the same amazing beginning. we can expect him to do well, but not as great as Joe Torre. There's only one Joe Torre.

I hope that Joe Torre does extremely well in LA. Ideally i would want the world series to be between the Yankees and the dodgers. (of course I'd want the Yankees to win in the end, but it'd be nice for him to make it that far.) I wish Joe (both Torre and GIrardi) the best of luck.

Joe Torre is a Yankee. He knows that. But the way the organazation has treated Torre over the past 3 years has been rude.

Joe Torre gave us 4 championships and 6 apperances. Which, is good. He deserved more then what he got, and will always be, a Yankee.

Good luck Joe Torre and have a nice season. Girardi might do a pretty good job as the Yankees manager.

It sucks that Torre is gone, however, he has to do what he has to do. I am appreciative of what he has done for the Yankees, and I will always remember him. There will be a Joe Torre day at Yankee Stadium when the Yankees will retire #6 for him.

I guess I am going to be a closet Dodger fan. I am AL all the way. I will always be a Yankee fanatic, but inside my heart, I will be wishing Joe the best.

It really was very very strange,to see Torre in a Dodger Uniform it just didn't seem right,on the brighter side i have a really good feeling about Girardi,I think it was time for new blood! Torre took the cub as far as he could,Something happened to Joe after 2003. I think it was Zimmer who really ran our club when he was a bench coach.I think it was all downhill after Zim left.I also think Torre should have taken a yr off to get his head cleared before he took another Manager's
job.

I'm not a yankees fan , ...but i think its going to take some getting use to.
JT did a good job with the yankees, and is one of the most respected managers in the MLB......
...I wouldve liked to see him stay another year in ny.....
...and i'm tired of the so called "fans " out there that put him down constantly. So we'll see how it all plays out next season i suppose.

the yankees always has, and always will have a strong competitive team, no matter who manages them!
