I was speeding, but he was going faster, and one car blocked my view, so is it completely my fault is what I'm asking. Also there are no stop signs in the parking lot, and it is on college campus.

Unless he ran a light or stop sign, you hit him in the side. It is your fault!

His going fast had nothing to do with your hitting him!!

Sorry!

there are no rules for parking lots. Your insurance company will work out the details and decide who pays what. In this case they will pay their own clients claim and both charge you with a chargeable accident. Of coarse being in a parking lot this will not be on your driving record. It sounds like you both need to slow down and look. the other car obviously did not see you either.

You will probably be found to be the at fault driver; since you hit him, it's not a matter of "he was speeding", but rather that you were! Good luck!

Parking lot accidents tend to be judged as 50-50 unless there is a lot of evidence of dangerous driving by one driver or the other, or one is drunk. I can almost guarantee your insurance and his will both come to the same conclusion.

It depends who ran the stop. If he was speeding and you were speeding, just call your insurance company and be grateful neither of you was hurt.
