A work cited page goes at the end of you paper on a seperate page. Many people center the words work cited at the top of the page and then you put your refrences there. Here is an example:
Works Cited

Martin, Wendy. The American Sisterhood. New York: Harper & Row Publihers, Inc, 1972.

Novarra, Virginia. Women’s Work, Men’s Work. Salem, NH: Marion Boyars Inc., 1980.

List of works cited means that if you use information from outside resources (such as books, newspaper or web articles) that you mention that. You show a list of work cited at the end of the essay. Also, each source has a different format so make sure you know which format you use for each source!

Hi there. At the end of your project simply complie a list of the books, internet sites etc that you got your information from. State the name of the book and author and sometimes you can put the page number too.
For example if you used a certain book and copied and quoted something from it, this information will need to cited in the 'Bibliography'. Its just for the teachers reference so they are able to check where you got the information from.

Any sources you have used for your essay. The list goes at the end of the essay.
I taught English and History for years, at all levels, and I do agree with one of your respondents that the person to ask is your teacher/lecturer. That is just one of the many things they are paid for, if they are any good!

works cited are your references...for example articles or books you use to write your paper. the works cited usually goes at the end of the paper but how it is formatted depends on what style you have to use. when i was in high school we had to use MLA style...there's many others though, ask your teacher which style he/she is requiring you to use to write your paper. there are guides to all different writing styles onine just google it.

It's a source of where you got your information. Usually its at the end, and there is a special format for it. If your school supports it, use NoodleBib.
