"Halloween is a liberal holiday because it teaches young children to beg for candy?"

Perhaps it was meant as a joke. But that would mean that after most jokes he enjoys engaging in a heated debate about it.

Cross dressing? I can't say I recall ever cross dressing on halloween. I think perhaps you should keep your skeletons in your closet. Pardon the Pun.

It's kind of funny seeing people assume they know my political persuasion. Would you feel silly slamming me as a "Hannity lover" when I reveal myself as a liberal or no?

it's funny.

He also said and it's not an exact quote he would not accept the noble peace prize because they gave it to a terrorist, instead he would give it to the U.S. Troops.

The practice of dressing up in costumes and begging door to door for treats on holidays goes back to the Middle Ages, and includes Christmas wassailing. Trick-or-treating resembles the late medieval practice of "souling," when poor folk would go door to door on Hallowmas (November 1), receiving food in return for prayers for the dead on All Souls Day (November 2). It originated in Ireland and Britain, although similar practices for the souls of the dead were found as far south as Italy.
Yet there is no evidence that souling was ever practiced in America, and trick-or-treating may have developed in America independent of any Irish or British antecedent.

So how many phone calls did it generate?....One could get on a program broadcast by a host 180 deg the opposite direction and say it is a conservative holiday because it encourages people to increase purchases and stimulate the economy...or to get inflammatory like Hannity...It is supported by the Neo cons because it encourages poor health in poor kids..fewer welfare recipients...wasn't that something that Bennet got pilloried for?

By that same logic so is Christmas. Don't children beg for toys on that holiday? Maybe he will join the so called attack on Christmas people as well. Oh but probably not because he is used to being a hypocrite.

Hannity is clever but lives in a parallel universe where all bad things are a liberal conspiracy

It's a joke and one that is pretty funny as well as being true all at the same time. Your a Great American, Sean Hannity!!!

It is yet another Hannityism. He likes those kind of statements because they raise ideas against liberals and he, though really a closet liberal himself likes being controversial. There is really very little substance to such a statement.

Since you repeated it than you must agree, and anyone that think children having fun following long tradition are beggars is very sad in my opinion.

It's actually kind of funny as a joke. He probably really believes it though, which is less funny.
